Cultivating Psychologically Healthy Communities
HVPA seeks to advance the profession of psychology and
to serve New York's Hudson Valley community. HVPA was founded in 1984.
Members of HVPA are licensed psychologists who work in various settings
including nonprofit agencies, community mental health clinics, hospitals,
rehabilitation centers, schools, college counseling centers, and private
practice. Members live and work in various regions of the Hudson Valley,
including the counties of Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange.
All members maintain the high standards of
professional and ethical practice as mandated by licensure through the New
York State Board of Education and by principles of the American
Psychological Association (APA) and the New York State Psychological
